 Children's Choirs
Pleasant Garden has a strong commitment to children
learning spiritual truths through music. Our youngest choirs (4 & 5 year olds) learn basic musical concepts such as rhythm and pitch but more importantly that God made
their voices to praise Him. The older children's choirs (1-2 grades and 3-6 grades) continue the development of spiritual truths through song. Drama is added to their
other skills as one or more musicals are presented each year by these older children. All children's choirs presently meet on Sunday evenings at 6:00pm
Student Choir
Student Choir-Our Middle School Students meet on Sunday afternoons for Uth worship. This time includes
music, drama, interpretive movement, black lights and other creative ways to express praise and worship.
This group goes outside the church walls to serve and is planning a summer mission trip for 2010.
Adult Choir
The Adult Choir sings regularly in the 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. worship services and prepares special musical drama presentations each year. This choir
practices on Sunday nights at 7:15 p.m.
Saints Alive Choir
The Senior Adult Choir, "Saints Alive", provides a wonderful opportunity for
active, excited seniors to share their faith through song. Practice is on Tuesday mornings at 11:00 a.m. This group prepares musicals as well as
anthems and is "on the road" several times a year sharing God's message at other churches, retirement homes, and conferences for senior adults. They
sing regularly in the 8:15 a.m. service.
Drama
We are a visual society. We retain much longer what we see and hear as opposed to what we only hear.
Recognizing this, we use dramas in our evening service. We also have dinner theater presentations and
drama opportunities with our musical productions. Auditions for major productions are open to anyone
interested. With drama there are costumes, set construction and design, sound and lighting and direction needs. If God has gifted you in these areas, we can put you to work!
